Oi Família!

This week was another good week in Bosque. We were able to teach 21 lessons. But sadly still had basically no one in church only a grand-daughter of a member. She doesn´t want to get baptized because she is scared of water. On wednesday we spent most of the day finishing the planning and doing an activity for the Ward. We decided to do a treasure hunt type of game because we had less time than we planned. It was alot of fun. The members and 4 investigators that came had to search for a clue that would lead to another clue and to another and some of the clues had a formula which would be something like X= the number of days it rained during the flood-y+12 and then had another one farther in the treasure hunt that was y and w and k and z and etc. Then in the end had a puzzle that was something like x+y-k+w-z=?. It was alot of fun because to find other clues you had to solve a type of puzzle. It is hard to describe but it was alot of fun and everyone liked it. There was supposed to be ice cream at the end but the bishop forgot to buy some and since it was a holiday there was nothing open to buy stuff. After the activity we found out that one of our investigators Valdir, who Elder Nagliati gave a blessing, died. It was a perfect day because the holiday was Dia dos Mortos (Day of the Dead). We went with the member that knew him and his wife to the funeral home to talk to his wife and also his sister and brother and law since we were teaching them as well. His wife was in the hospital because she went it to shock so we went with the member to visit her in the hospital and maybe give her a blessing but when we got there that said she was alright and doing better. It was kinda crazy but the thanked us for trying and also for visiting them. It is possible they will be more open to the gospel now. Thursday was just a day full of walking and teaching some investigators including one named Vinilda who said she believes the Book of Mormon is true but she wants to die in the catholic church so we are just trying to use the Spirit to change her train of thought. On friday we met an old lady and she told us her grandson was a missionary. We tried talking but everytime we tried to talk she would cut us off. It took forever to leave a message and leave her house. The rest of the day we spent walking and teaching. Including teaching a lesson to a less active and her husband who is not a member he told us he would be a member if he didn´t have a problem with drinking and smoking and if he had gotten in trouble with the law before. But he said when he changes he will definately join our church because he believes it is the only true church. It was funny because he said drinking his beer in front of us while talking. Saturday was really hot. We weren´t able to teach very many lessons especially at night but we were able to get people to say they would come to church.Yesterday we sadly like i said had only one investigator in church. We were able to have churrasco to break our fast which was great because of how hot it was. We were able to teach a couple lessons at night. I tried sweet rice for the first time and it was pretty good. This morning we go the call that Elder Nagliati would be transfered and i would stay. Then i got an e-mail saying thati would be training a new missionary and will be staying here in Bosque. I am excited to be able to train a new missionary it will be alot of fun. I just need to learn the language so just in case it is an american i can help him learn the language but if it is a Brazilian than the language wont to be much of a problem because he can help me. I am doign great here and i am happy. I hope all is well back at home. Love you all.

Love Elder Cefalo
