Oi Família,

This week was one the testing weeks on the mission. We had investigators who said the didn´t want to hear anything more. We had investigators that told us they would go to church and we got them a ride but they ended up not going. We had trouble finding new people to teach. It was one of the hottest week of my life. Both of our baptisms for this week fell through. However i am still loving the mission and i am still way glad to be on the mission because if i wasn´t on the mission and had a week like i did this week but in other way i would have probably given up but however because i am on a mission i always think of what the Savior would do if He were in my place and had a week like that and i believe He would just keep working through all the difficulties and still love everything He was doing. I am so greatful for how much i have learned on the mission and how much i still have to learn in the next 11 months. Wednesday we had a difficult day because we spent a bunch of time trying to find new people because of the 8 appointments we had only one of the worked out because we had to go and get sunscreen and sunglasses for Elder Kramer because he is having alot of problems with the sun and getting burned so we got to some of them late. Also Alex told us he couldn´t do anything this week because he was having trouble in the family and things were not working out for him. On thursday was a better day because we were able to teach some other lesson and find some potential investigators. However the only bad thing that happened is ur washing machine stopped working. We also had interviews wth President Pavan and he gave us alot of good ways to find people to teach using the members and also the investigators we are already teaching. We also were able to teach a lesson to Rosana and Jeferson (Rosana is a members cousin) with the member who is her cousin. They were really greatful for the lesson we gave and she kept thanking us until we left. Something that was Thanksgiving like on Thursday is that we had a really big lunch which had so muche food that it could have feed a family of 20 although there were only Elder Kramer, I, and the two older members. It was one of the best lunches i have had here on the mission because it had so much variety of things to eat. On friday we had a special training with President Pavan. It was a really great training about getting investigators to make and keep commitments. Afterwards we were able to teach Jussara and she was telling us about how she was in the hospital and feeling the worst she has felt but then she said the blessing we gave her right before she went into the hospital is what helped her to feel the best she has ever felt in her life. We were talking about the Book of Mormon and got onto the subject of Baptism and without inviting her she told us she would get baptized all we had to do was mark a date with her, which we did for the 11th of December and she says she will for sure get baptized. We also were able to teach Tiago about the Restoration and we watched the movie about the Restoration and he really liked it and said he would read the Book of Mormon and pray about it. He said he would go to church with Josemar ( a member). Saturday was also a pretty good day. We were able to help with a move in the morning which was great to help with that. Then we taught Jussara bout going to church and about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She said she would go to church for sure with her daughters. We also were able to teach Rose with her cousin ,who is a member, Paulo França. It went really well and she seemed really set to come to church the next day. On sunday we went to give Jussara a ride to church and she said that she forgot she had promissed her friend she would go to the baptism of her freinds daughters at the Catholic church. It was really sad to hear that. Also Josemar didn´t go to church so Tiago wasn´t there either. Vanda went to church with two of her granddaughters and they all three liked it alot. The only thing keeping Vanda from getting baptized now is stooping her smoking habit which she is doing well at but still hasn´t stopped completely. We were able to get a list of members who could go out with us to teach when we need someboday. The rest of the day was difficult to find people to teach. Yesterday was a pretty good day. We were able to teach a couple people and get them seriously commited to reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it to know if it is true. We also got Vanda commited to smoking only 1 cigarette a day and also getting stuff to help her stop smoking. We were able to find a coulpe potential investigators that should help us to find more people to teach. Today in the morning a man came to fix our washing machine but all of a sudden magicly it was working perfectly fine. It is weird how things like that happen but it is a blessing from the Lord that it is working because i was getting low on clothes. Well that is the crazy week we had but so far it looks like this week will be a good week for us. :) Love you all very muxh and always remember to continue on in life whether or not there are a bunch of aflicitions and the Lord will help you. :)

Love Elder Cefalo
