Oi Família from Brasil (where they do not celebrate good old Thanksgiving)!
This week was a great week for most of the days. Some crazy things happened. Like Gelci, the old lady we found on Sunday, was progressing really well and wanted to go to church but sadly on Friday when we went to her house we found out she passed away. :( Good news is now she can hear it in the Spirit World from probably people that speak her language better. We were able to get Alex and Vanda to church and Alex brought his sister that is 8 years old and Vanda brought her granddaughter that is 9 years old. All of them like church very much. With Vanda it was a miracle because of how long she kept saying she would go and she didn´t go until this last week. She ended up liking it very much. She had many of friends that she didn´t know went to our church. She is planning on going this week as well. We also got her committed to not smoking anymore cigarettes. She still has a baptismal date for the 30th of this month. Alex is progressing really well. He already read the Book of Mormon and liked it. We are not sure if he has a testimony of the Book but he sure liked it and is still reading it. While we were teaching him the other day he asked us, before we even said anything about baptism, what he needed to know and what he had to do to be baptized. It was perfect to explain and invite him to be baptized. He accepted to be baptized on the 29th of this month. He really liked church on Sunday. I am thankful the bishop introduced us to him because it helped us to find someone elect and ready to hear the gospel. The rest of the week we found new people to teach and were able to teach quite a few lessons. There were a couple days that were tough but in the end we were able to get things going. On Friday me and Elder Kramer got into a small argument but we worked things out and now things are going well between us. The thing is he is very serious and since he is new he thinks everyday should be perfect and we should be able to teach a bunch of people and etc. We are starting to teach better as a companionship as the days go by and he is learning the language. It makes me realize how much i have learned and how much i have changed since the start of the mission. This week we gave a couple more blessings. It seems like this area i have given so many blessings but it is always good to help someone by giving them a blessing and letting them see how the Priesthood works. It also help my testimony of the Priesthood grow. We also were able to start planning an activity for the start of December. It is going to be a musical group coming and planning Christmas music and there will be treats and everything. I am not sure exactly what it is because the Ward Mission Leader is more in charge of it than us. We are just going to help him. There is also going to be a live nativity that the church is doing at the end of December. It should be fun this next month with activities because everyone is on break from school and work. We are still getting help from member to find people to teach. There is o much that goes on that i usually write down in my planner what i will write in my weekly e-mail but i forgot to do that this week so i cannot remember everything. Yesterday and today has been cold and rainy. On Saturday it was so hot that Elder Kramer was not feeling good and we had to slow down and stop at a couple members houses to get water and cool down. It is so weird how much the weather changes here in Passo Fundo. One day it will be scorching hot and the next two days will be cold and rainy. Well the work is going great and we are having alot of good results although not everyone will go to church. I am loving it here in this area and i really don´t every want to leave. Well love all of you very much. Hope all is well. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Love Elder Cefalo
