Oi Família!

How is it going back at home? It is beginning to look alot like Christmas here with all of the decorations and everything. Last week was a pretty crazy week with transfers and training with President Pavan in Porto Alegre. First thing is on Monday Elder Nagliati went and said bye to everyone. On Tuesday morning the bishop gave us a ride to the bus station so Elder Nagliati could catch the bus with the other missionaries going to Porto Alegre. Then the rest of the day i spent with the other missionaries that were staying in Passo Fundo. We had lunch at a Churrasco restaurant and then went bowling. I won the first game. On the second game i accidently pulled a Wii move and threw the bowling ball backwards a little bit. Luckily it didn´t do any damage. I took second place on the second game. We did it in missionary clothes and shoes. We also went to a book fair and talked to a Muslim and he said he had a Book of Mormon but he wouldn´t believe it unless we had the gold plates with us. Then at night our companions arrived. I got my new companion which was Elder Kramer from Connecticut. He will be a great missionary but he doesn´t talk all to much. We got back home and got everything all ready. On Wednesday we went and taught a couple people. We marked a baptismal date with Vanda again this time for the end of this month. On Thursday we had our district meeting and afterwards went to a churrasco restaurant again but this time as a zone. It was really good. It was raining which was no fun. Then all the leaders of the zone had a meeting with President Pavan in Porto Alegre and a trainer is considered a leader so i had to go. The Zone Leaders and District Leaders and I got on a bus to go to Porto Alegre. It was not too much fun to go on a 4 hours bus ride with nothing to do but sleep and talk. We got to the Mission office at night and we spent some time with the Secretaries and the Assistants and then went to their apartment to sleep. I got good news that two packages had arrived for me (one from my family and one from Grandma and Grandpa Buck). On Friday we got up and all of us got ready and then we went to the office and waited there until lunch and the other leaders started showing up. We then went to lunch at a restaurant close by. Then we went back for a little bit and waited until the training. It was a really good training from President and the Assistants about be a good leader and example for the missionaries we are serving. After all the training we caught a bus to go back to Passo Fundo. I left the two packages on purpose at the office to keep from the temptation of opening before Christmas. President will be doing a training before Christmas so he is going to bring it with him. We got home late on Friday night. On Saturday when Elder Kramer came back from spending the time with Elder Dowden in Erechim we went to the apartment and i took a shower and we went to lunch with the bishop. The bishop gave us 3 referrals. We talked to one of them and set up a time to visit him. We also gave a blessing to the bishop´s daughter and sister-in-law. Then we spent the rest of the day trying to visit people and sadly for the first time here in Bosque we were not to teach a single lesson. Elder Kramer wasn´t too happy but i told him just wait because there will be worse days on the mission. On Sunday we sadly had another sacrament meeting with out investigators. We also had a difficult time finding people to teach. We however found a really humble old lady named Gelci. She said she has two sons who are members of the church that live in other parts of the south. We taught a really good lesson and she really liked it. We invited her to prepare to be baptized if she felt what we were teaching is right and she accepted she also accepted to go to church. We are going to mark a date with her next time we visit. We also were asked to give a non-member a blessing from a member of the church. Yesterday was a pretty good day. We were able to meet one of the bishop´s referrals and also set up a family home evening for the same night. We spent alot of time finding new people to teach. We also taught Geovani for only the second time but he liked our message so much and felt that it was true so we invited him to be baptized and marked a date for the 27th of November. He is really excited and also said he would go to church. We also were able to do the family home evening with the bishop and Alex. He like it alot and we talked about Jesus Christ and watched the video Finding Faith in Christ. He is dating a girl who is a member and she also was there for the family home evening. It went really good. We then went with the bishop to give Jonas and Isabele (members) a blessing of health. Today i went and got my haircut and the we went and had luch with Irmão Venicio. We found out the Alex like our message and he already went and bought a white shirt and tie to go to church this sunday. This week should be a great week. Love you all very much.

Love Elder Cefalo
